I Am

August 19th, 2009

I am

I am a caring and peaceful girl.

I wonder how the world will be in 80 years,
I hear the wind whistle through the trees,
I see grass dance across the valley,
I want to see all that I can see.

I am a caring and peaceful girl.

I pretend to be a majestic eagle soaring across the sky,
I feel the agony of others in my mind,
I touch the clouds that towers over me,
I worry about the environment in which we exist,
I cry for those in need.

I am a caring and peaceful girl.

I understand the pain of losing something you love,
I say live within every precious moment that is given,
I dream about serenity for all living kind,
I try to be the best I can be,
I hope for the acceptance of everyone’s individuality.

I am a caring and peaceful girl.

Do Mammograms Cause Breast Cancer?

January 31st, 2009

Mammogram

My first mammogram was scheduled for January 9, 2009, however there were reservations in doing so. As I struggled and wrestled with the idea of going through the procedure late throughout the night and early morning, I was prompted to research the possible dangers of mammography, if any at all. As a result, there was an abundance of information that was available. Needless to say, my fears were confirmed and my appointment was canceled. Many of you may say, “What a foolish thing to do”, however you may have a change of heart once you’ve read just many of the resources that were so readily accessible.

As I share my thoughts, I am aware and prepared to deal with the controversy and ridicule that may arise from this topic primarily as a result of the different conditioning mindsets. As many of us know, the medical industry is not always on our side, particularly the common person. As we journey through life in a society that is governed by the practices of profit and population control, it is vital that we take control of our lives and decide what is right for us and not that of societal dictations. For this reason, it is my duty to share information that can make a difference in one’s life. If I can impress upon just one person, then a good deed has been done.

Here’s one of the many informationals that may interest those that are willing to open their minds void from the thoughts that have been indiscreetly and involuntarily placed into our minds through societal impressions and dictations. Forgive my frankness, but it is necessary. Meanwhile, visit Fit and 40 Something for details regarding the dangers of mammography.

Balancing Our Existence

September 5th, 2008

As we journey through our endeavors of life, we instinctively find ourselves consumed with secondary elements of life rather than the primary elements of our core existence - - the mind, body and soul.  Our lives are traditionally and subconsciously dictated by societal impressions and expectations and therefore our existence has been conceptually channeled by the ways of the world.   Consequently, the human characteristic develops into a malfunctioning mode resulting to such behavioral emotions of detestation, depression, stress, obsessive desires of acceptance, arrogance and other unconstructive behavioral characteristics of the human spirit.

The concept of being in balance is the desire and act of restoring the natural equilibrium in all facets. As balance defines our Universe and not human existence, we must re-position ourselves psychologically so that balance is created in our daily lives.  As I apply, observe, research and struggle with the steps of repositioning my thoughts and the desire of a better quality of life, I can truly believe ‘freedom’ is merely around the corner.

Here’s a fantastic inspirational video that must be shared with the readers that are seeking spiritual and intellectual freedom.
